

Provisional Educational Services Inc. (PESI) provides San Bernardino City Unified School District with an Upward Bound program. The Program builds, encourages, motivates, and creates an atmosphere for learning. We provide students with the skills necessary to successfully pursue and complete post-secondary education.
Upward Bound is an academic enrichment program that opens the windows of opportunity to postsecondary education. Upward Bound is a federally funded program that provides its services free to selected students.
The goal of the Upward Bound Program is to academically prepare low-income, first-generation college students to enroll and graduate from the four-year college/ university of their choice.
The Upward Bound Program is grant funded by the U. S. Department of Education

Summer
A six-week Summer Academy with high school credit. Classes are designed to give students a head start for the upcoming year, thus providing an academic advantage. Classes meet Monday-Friday; field trips or community service activities are conducted.
Upward Bound Students and Parents/Guardians:
As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in response to COVID-19 concerns, our Program will NOT provide face to face services. All Upward Bound Program services will shift to on-line and will be conducted via distant-learning format effective Monday, March 23, 2020

Students meetings with Educational Coaches via distant-learning format using Ring Central Meeting. Upward Bound student will need to install the Ring Central Meeting Application. Call the office if experience problems with the install.
